Hey there, I know it's been a while, but I've been busy busy making tutus and hairpieces, with online orders and a busy little 2 year old! Anyway, I will be selling some of my items at a sidewalk sale/anniversary party being held at Headlines Salon in Encinitas. It starts at 4 and will go until 8 with many cool vendors, free cocktails and just some adult conversation...I think maybe a raffle too! We did a photo shoot with my 2 year old yesterday and got some good pics. Here is the perfect example of how much your little one needs a tutu! Some of these will be blown up an put on the wall!

Please join us THIS Saturday, May 16th from 3-7 for a craft fair extravaganza! Local artists of all kinds/members of the Oceanside Craft Mafia will be there to sell their handmade items! Please help make this a successful event and stop by the Jitters parking lot, 510 North Coast Hwy 92054. Of course I will be there with my tutus and accessories, so get your tutu in time for summer!

Thanks to all of my friends and family who helped me set up and break down for the street fair...which by the way, was a HUGE success!! It was a great day and I was really busy allll day! I surpassed what I thought my sales would be and passed out so many cards that I ran out! I would love to get new business from the exposure! Next stop the Craft-Opia Fair with my business group Oceanside Craft Mafia! This will be held in a couple weeks in the Jitters parking lot in Oceanside, details to follow! This will be a fun fair with all local stay at home mom's and business women with their own creative products! The biggest star of the day though was Lola, a friend's English Bulldog who wore her very own custom made tutu! I will post pictures soon! Happy Monday!

CARLSBAD STREET FAIR!

Here I come, now this is the fair I've been waiting for !! I've been preparing for weeks and have a ton of inventory...I already have some really cute costumes for the little ones, including a Bumble Bee, Cowgirl, Country Girl, Fourth of July outfit, Army Girl, and I'm even bringing out past Christmas outfits for those of you who plan way ahead! Not only do I have tutus, but wings, headbands for babies and girls, punk rock style and classic cute. Adult headbands, hairpieces and tutus too! I have a teen tutu that is Twilight inspired as well! I have some really beautiful wedding hairpieces as well, you just have to come check out my booth to see all the great stuff I've been working so hard on! I will be on the North end of State Street right in front of Mas Fina Cantina! Hope to see you there!

My first craft fair!!

Tomorrow is the day! Please come visit me at my booth at the Community Lutherine Church , 4507 Mission Ave Oceanside, CA 92057. There will be fun for the whole family and it will be a gorgeous day! Bring the kids to do a pony ride, jump in the bouncy or get their faces painted, all while checking out booths with local crafters! I will be there from 11-3...hope to see you there!

Under the Sea!

So, for my baby girls' 2nd birthday, of course she had to be in a tutu! I did the Under the Sea theme because she loves Arial and Nemo, but I don't really like doing the whole Disney thing. So, we made it our own and she rocked my cute new "Itty Bitty Mermaid" tutu set! Complete with my "2" shirt...wand, hairpiece and all! She was just the most adorable thing and I even braided her hair to give it that waivy mermaid look! We all had a blast and kept the theme going with a bubble machine, under the sea music, fish ring toss, fish paint crafts and mostly fishy foods! Well, a picture says a thousand words! I will be posting this new costume design as an upgrade to any custom tutu on etsy soon!

This sounds like a great local fair with crafts for the kids to do, petting zoo, horse rides a visit from the fire department and even a huge bouncy! Goin' in a Swag Bag!

So, I signed up to be in a catalog that 's going in celebrity and media swag bags...It's going for print soon and we got a pdf copy of it. I'm so excited that not only did I get chosen for this, but they put my picture on the cover too...just found out when I previewed it!! I have another opportunity to go in another catalog for the MTV music award swag bags, but I'm not sure if I can swing another advertising fee, so we'll see.

How exciting...today I shipped my first international order! Two whole fairy sets to Ireland for a wedding! I'm gonna work all day today because I have a lot to do, and I know Rock'n Sprouts and Mabel's are still waiting on their tutus I promised...I'm also honored to have been chosen for Autumn Reeser's wedding coming up in May. It's been fun to design and create all her little flower girl tutus and accessories! I'll post any pics as I get them. Have a good Thursday!

Welcome to my new business blog...here I will be able to share with you all the exciting news of my new business. Things have been going great for me , and this is the first month I feel like this biz is really taking off. Thanks to some really cool people. Rock'n Sprouts owner has done a great job pushing my product in her store, a really cute rockin' kids clothing and accessory shop! My tutus will be on her website soon, http://www.rocknsprouts.com/ . Other retailers and supporters include Mabel's Carlsbad and Playwerx in Carlsbad! I am excited to announce that I have secured a booth for the Carlsbad Street Fair coming up on May 3rd, be sure to come see me...It will be located right in front of our restaurant, Mas Fina Cantina (also very exciting!) .

On another note, I had a fabulous weekend attending a scrap booking charity crop put on by Elena and many volunteers of Scrapbook Royalty. The event raised money for the Cancer Coping Center and the Boys and Girls Club of San Marcos! I believe they even surpassed their original goal of $20,000. I am proud to say that one of my tutus went for $150 in the silent auction! Elena and the owner of the Pink Pineapple scrapbook store also were seen dancing around and scrapping in my tutus and they looked fabulous (I will post pics when I get them!) I was able to get 5 paid orders just at the event and hopefully more in the future!

I am also a new member of the Oceanside Craft Mafia (http://www.oceansidecraftmafia.com/ which is a group of local women all with their own knack for creativity.Each and every one of us has their own product and style in which we try to make a little extra money in these tough times! We are putting on a Spring craft show in May (more info to come) in the Jitters parking lot! This is a great business group to be a part of as they all strive to make themselves know and successful in the community by blogging, tweeting, face booking and more!
